I myself use this Pack on a daily basis for many of my VFX tasks within my Teams INDIE Game Dev.  There are a great variation of Sprites that offer one many possible Effects and a multitude more when layering various sprites together.  I focused on making a large volume of Sprites, as I find when building my own VFX, more is better :)

The NOISE pack was also specifically designed to aid in VFX, adding chaotic variation to all FX one would produce.  I also made sure all NOISE Textures are perfectly seamless.  I have found very often noise textures are not seamless and so limit one and the fluidity of the FX one is able to achieve.  As well as this works for VFX, it can also be used effectively in Texturing Tasks.
